those actions shift weight forward, away from the rear tires. Keep on the throttle, modulate it and counter-steer, and do everything smoothly. It takes a leap of faith sometimes to stay on the gas when you're starting to slide, but you'll almost always make it worse by letting off the gas and using the brakes. When you get your Z back, I'd suggest you go to an abondoned parking lot or something on a rainy day, and practice controlling skids. You did good by staying calm, though. Just need to practice until the proper actions that seem counter-intuitive now are second nature. This advice could probably go to most of the people on this board, too, me included.
